Many people believe democracy is necessary for freedom – but why? Why do we need democracy, and which type of democracy works best? Even a bad democracy would be better than a good dictatorship. But isn't democracy just the will of the majority? And if voters are poorly informed or only think of themselves, why should they get to decide for everyone?
