About Me
I am a philosopher at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. I teach and do research on many areas of social and political philosophy, both historically and systematically. This is my private website. All content reflects my opinion and not that of my employer.
Research Areas
My research areas are Social and Political Philosophy, Critical Theory, Academic Freedom, Ethics of Privacy, Philosophy of Hope.

Cooperation
If you are interested in doing a philosophy or PPE MA in Groningen and want to chat, please feel free to get in touch!
If you are a (prospective) PhD student who is interested in my areas of research, please get in touch with me. Unfortunately, there is very little institutional funding available at this moment, but if you already have a PhD position or scholarship, it is sometimes possible to do a joint supervision arrangement with another university ("co-tutelle") or arrange a research visit. Do not hesitate to ask!
I am very keen on supporting and promoting online workshops and conferences, especially with partners from outside Europe and North America to facilitate truly global cooperation between philosophers. If you work at a university outside the Global North and want to organize an online event, please get in touch with me.
